The maintenance of 4WE10 solenoid directional valve can be carried out according to the following steps:
Preparation:
Tools and materials: Prepare appropriate wrenches, screwdrivers, lint-free cloths, soft-bristled brushes, dust guns (connected to dry, oil-free compressed air), absolute ethanol (99.7%) or isopropyl alcohol (non-special cleaning agents such as gasoline, diesel, and tap water are strictly prohibited), special fluorine grease or grease specified by the manufacturer (ordinary engine oil, butter, etc. are strictly prohibited), gloves, goggles, and containers for small parts.
Remove the valve core:
Use appropriate tools to carefully unscrew the solenoid valve back cover (pilot head or entire coil assembly on some models).
Gently take out the valve core together with the spring and other components, and record or memorize the sequence, direction and installation relationship of each component. It is recommended to take photos and save them to prevent installation errors.
Clean and lubricate valve core:
Preliminary cleaning: Use a soft brush and dry compressed air to remove large particles of dust inside the valve core and valve cavity.
Deep cleaning: If there is stubborn oil stains or attachments on the valve core, use a lint-free cloth dipped in absolute ethanol to carefully wipe all surfaces until they are bright and free of dirt. The practice is to put the valve core, spring and other metal parts into a container filled with absolute ethanol, and clean them with an ultrasonic cleaning machine for 3-5 minutes.
Thorough drying: After cleaning, dry, oil-free compressed air must be used to completely dry all parts and holes inside the valve core and valve body to prevent rust.
Apply lubrication: Take a rice grain-sized amount of special grease and use a toothpick or finger (wearing gloves) to apply the grease thinly and evenly on the surface of the sliding rod of the valve core and dynamic seals (such as O-rings). It is strictly prohibited to apply grease on the sealing surface of the valve seat or block any pilot hole or orifice.
Clean the inside and coil end of the solenoid valve:
Inside the valve body: Use a lint-free cloth dipped in ethanol to wipe the internal cavity of the valve body, and blow out all channels with compressed air to ensure cleanliness.
Coil assembly: Open or remove the coil, and use dry compressed air to blow away the dust on and around the coil core contact surface. It is strictly prohibited to soak the coil or spray cleaning agent directly to avoid damaging the coil insulation.
Install the spool:
Carefully put the lubricated valve core back into the valve body in the correct direction and sequence recorded during disassembly, and put in springs and other accessories.
Push the valve core manually and feel that its movement is smooth and free of stagnation.
Install the back cover and coil:
Install the back cover, ensure that small accessories such as springs are installed in place, pay attention to the direction requirements of the back cover (if any), and tighten according to the torque requirements.
Install the coil assembly and make sure the plug is securely connected.
Test after maintenance:
Reset: Restores pipe connections and power.
Test: Perform a jog test, turn the power on and off, and listen to see if there is a clear 'click' sound from the solenoid valve. Slowly introduce the medium and check whether the solenoid valve operates normally and whether there is leakage in each interface. Confirm that the valve switching action is consistent with the signal indication.
